Angelina A. Nona" Gerhart

YORK - Angelina A. "Nona" (Mioni) Gerhart, 86, passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 at the home of her son, William J. and wife Dawn A. Gerhart. She was the wife of the late Marion E. Gerhart. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Rev. Fr. Joseph Tuscan, OFM Cap. officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Lischey's Cemetery, Spring Grove. She was born June 8, 1923 in Naples, Italy. During WWII, she met her husband and moved to the United States in 1946 where she became a naturalized citizen in 1953. She retired from York Dress Co. after many years of service. In addition to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Angelina was a member of Golden Nuggets Club, White Rose Senior Center, the Patricians, and Jolly Seniors of York. She enjoyed traveling, watching Bonanza and Little House on the Prairie, playing cards, spending time with her family, and her parakeet, Blueie. Nona is survived by her son, William J. Gerhart of York; her daughter, Joan M. Gerhart of Selinsgrove; her daughter in law and caregiver, Dawn A. Gerhart; three grandchildren, Stacey L. Forry, Michael R. Gerhart, and Bradley D. Gerhart; and two great grandchildren, Breanne A. Forry and Chase M. Feeser; and two sisters who live in Naples, Italy. Memorial contributions may be made to White Rose Senior Center, 27 S.
