She was the wife of John C. Place to whom she married in 2003 and had shared her life for the past 14 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Betty Frey, Certified Celebrant officiating. A viewing will be held from 5-7:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Chapel. Born March 10, 1970 in Baltimore a daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth Ann (Smith) Oberdick of Three Springs, PA, she was a 1988 graduate of Red Lion Area High School and a graduate of York Technical Institute. Angela worked for The Alpaca Yarn Company. She was an avid knitter and spinner and was active with Autism York. Angela cherished her children and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband and parents, Angela is survived by three sons, Orin E. J. Hagner of York, Calvin A. Hagner at home, and John H. Place at home; a brother, Matthew Tolley of Sanford, FL; and a paternal grandmother, Joyce Oberdick of York. She was preceded in death by a half sister, Melissa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Angelas name may be made to support a local Autism organization.
