LUZERNE-Andrew DeFrancesco, 82, of Luzerne, passed away December 8, 2008, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Pittston on August 18, 1926, he was a son of the late Angelo and Susan (Bundra) DeFrancesco. He was a member of Luzerne United Methodist Church. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a core driller by Giles Drilling Corporation, Berwick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Sammy. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, the former Margaret "Peg" Harris; daughter Sue Rattigan and her husband, Dale of Dupont; two grandsons, Robert Clark and his wife, Michele of Arizona; Gary Clark of Arizona; three great-grandchildren, Casey Clark, Madison Clark and Robert "R.J." Clark; several cousins, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the Luzerne United Methodist Church, 440 Bennett Street, Luzerne, with the Reverend Carol E. Coleman officiating.
