Andree M. (Verschoote) Foss

YORK - Andree M. (Verschoote) Foss, 96, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the Haven at Springwood. Andree was the wife of the late Samuel N. Foss (bronze star recipient) of Ocean Grove, NJ whom she married in Valenciennes, France during WWII before immigrating to the United States in 1948. Andree was born in Trith St. Leger, France and was the daughter of the late Gustave Verschoote of Gent, Belgium and Rosalie (Briscout) Verschoote of Denain, France. After raising a family in New Jersey, she moved to York County, PA in 1986. Andree leaves behind 2 sons (and their wives), several grandchildren (and their spouses) and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind friends in PA and NJ as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives in France. She was preceded in death by four siblings. Interment will be in Red Lion, PA.
