York—Amelia J. (Champagne) Guenther, 79, died Thursday, February 02, 2012 at Manor Care Health Services-Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Henry L. Guenther Sr. A Celebration of Life Service will be 12 PM, Friday, February 10, 2012 at Church and Chapel Funeral Homes, 1875 N. Calhoun Rd, Brookfield, WI 53005. A visitation will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Highland Memorial Park, Milwaukee, WI. Born April 26, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the late Eugene C. and Nellie O. (Lager) Champagne. In addition to being a homemaker for her husband and children, she was also employed as a Realtor for several years. Mrs. Guenther is survived by one son, Henry L. Guenther, Jr and wife, Peggy of York; three granddaughters, Linda M. Koller and husband, Brett, Sandra L. Clark and husband, Adam and Nicole L. Seiberling and husband, Stuart; eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Nira Bradley of WI, Glennie Thompson and husband, Clifford of AK, Norma Thompson of AK and Irma Van Hoff of WI and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Velma Hester and Betty Simms. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army, 50 E. King Street, York, Pa 17401.
