LANCASTER – Alysia N. (Hanes) Harpster, 31, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Geoffrey A. Harpster to whom she was married for four years. A celebration of Alysia’s life will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Harpster Home, 241 Ruby Street, Lancaster. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born February 27, 1988 in York, a daughter of Christine A. (Staley) Hanes of Mount Wolf and the late Lee A. Hanes, she was a 2006 graduate of Northeastern High School and attended Temple University. Alysia, along with her husband Geoffrey, are the former owners of Fit Studio in downtown Lancaster. Alysia loved painting and participating in the art and music scene. She had worked with various recording studios managing bands, coordinating studio sessions and booking events. Her other love was fitness. She was a certified personal trainer and enjoyed sharing her passion for fitness with others. In addition to her husband and mother, Alysia is survived by a two sons, Ryland M. Harpster at home and Geoffrey A. Emschweiler of Ft. Bragg, NC; a sister, Michelle and husband Daniel Overmiller of York; maternal grandparents, David and Maureen Staley of York; and her paternal grandmother, Arlene Hanes of York. Alysia was preceded in death by her brother, Matthew Lee Hanes.
