Alvin W. Jordan, Jr., Age 78, of 120 Windstone Lane, Smithfield Township, PA passed away Saturday February 5, 2011 at home with his loving wife by his side. Alvin was born November 18, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA son of the late Alvin W. and Genevieve A. (Cybulski) Jordan, Sr. Alvin served his country with the US Armys Big Red 1 in Korea. He married the former Carol Carpenter on March 29, 1980. Alvin retired on March 28, 2008 as a Brokers Broker in the Secondary Market of Corporate Bonds following 53 years of service in the investment field. He loved all animals especially horses and his canine friend Puckie. He was an avid athleate and sportsman he enjoyed watching golf, football and tennis. His other interests included scuba diving, traveling and watching musical comedies. He was Past President of the Investment and Traders Association in Philadelphia, PA for many years, Past Chief of the Delran, NJ Volunteer Fire Department; he also was a life member of the Philadelphia Zoo and had traveled to Africa for the Zoo. Survivors include his loving wife Carol Jordan of Springfield Township, PA, his daughter and her family, Deborah and John Conroy and their children, Meghan & Alex Conroy of Rancocas, NJ, son Craig Jordan of NJ, brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Rena Jordan of Fairfax, VA, a sister, Martha Soliday of CT, two step children, Kimberley and Cal, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Alvin had a beautiful smile and a wonderful sense of humor that will be missed by his family and friends. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 PM Friday, February 11, 2011 at Epiphany Catholic Church, 304 South Elmer Avenue, Sayre, PA. Alvins Memorial Mass will be celebrated following calling hours at 5 PM with Reverend John Chmil officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials are directed to Guthrie Hospice, RR 1 Box 154, Towanda, PA 18848 or to Brain Injury Association of America, http://biausa.fyrian.com/donate-support.htm Arrangements are under the direction of the Gerald W.
