BROGUE -- Alverta Betty [Haynes] Goodling Henry, 81, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late George W. "Bud" Goodling, Jr. and the late Gordon Henry. A celebration of life service will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 18, 2007 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with her pastor, the Rev. James Ward officiating. Viewings will be from 6-8:00 PM Sunday and 9-10:00 AM Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Jacobus. Born September 12, 1925 in Baltimore, MD a daughter of the late Charles W. and Vallie M. [Fuhrman] Haynes, she had been a seamstress at various local garment companies. Mrs. Henry was a charter member of Faith Fellowship Church of York County; member of Brogue Ambulance Ladies Auxiliary; attended Red Lion Senior Center, where she was active with the Blue Birds group; taught Sunday School for over 20 years; and served as a den mother with Cub Scouts and a troop leader with Girl Scouts. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, making crafts, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mrs. Henry is survived by two daughters, Eileen M. "E" Campbell Druck and husband Ronald Druck of Wrightsville and Kay M. and husband Ronald Vannoy of Brogue; two sons, Donald D. and wife Audrey Goodling of Dover and Randy L. and wife Dianna Goodling of York Haven; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and five sisters, Vallie Schuller, Ruth Bare, Myrtle Briggs, Margaret Sowards, and Mildred Smith. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Arthur Haynes.
