Alston Wayne Clark

RED LION – Alston Wayne Clark, 72, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 at his home. He was the husband of Carolyn Denise (Anderson) Clark to whom he was married for 18 years but has spent the past 30 years as a couple.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 24, 2022 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with his pastor, The Rev. Bill Jones officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethlehem Stonepile UM Cemetery.

Born September 21, 1950 in Greenbrier County, WV; a son of the late Warner Sheldon Clark and Bonnie Louise (Clutter) Clark Mullins, he was a 1967 graduate of Renick High School in West Virginia. Alston worked out of the Laborers Local #1167 for over 41 years. He was a man who never met a stranger and loved to talk to everyone he met. Mr. Clark made many friends by attending local football games and loved sports in general.

In addition to his loving and devoted wife, Mr. Clark is survived by a son, Michael W. Clark of Red Lion; a grandson, Connor N. Smith of York and granddaughter, Kylee S. Clark of York; an uncle, Kenneth and wife Ruth Clutter of Windsor; a brother-in-law, John T. Simmons of Renick, WV; and nephew Sheldon M. and wife Kalyssa Simmons of Renick, WV. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Linda Clark and a sister, Connie Charlene Simmons.
