Alsetta Ivy (Koons) Doll

YORK – Alsetta Ivy (Koons) Doll, 86, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard E. Doll. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with her pastor, The Rev. Dr. Ken Loyer officiating. A viewing will be from 1-2:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. (Poff) Koons, she was a 1952 graduate of Red Lion Area High School. Mrs. Doll retired from Caterpillar Inc. in 1978 after 18 years of service. Alsetta loved playing cards and enjoyed her many card clubs. More than anything else, Alsetta cherished the time she spent with her family and was happiest being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Doll is survived by a daughter, Kathy L. and husband Paul Johnson of Red Lion; a son, John R. and wife Patricia Doll of Narvon, PA; four grandchildren, Cody Knaub, Derek Johnson, Richard Doll and Victoria Raico; six great grandchildren, Ty, Kailee, Isabella, Leah, Lorelia, Bailey; a sister, Joan Wise of York; and a half sister, Linda Hedrick of York. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Leonard; and two brothers, Ronald Koons and Barry Poff.
