Alma Famularo

POTTSVILLE- Alma L. Famularo, of Pottsville, passed away on Wednesday at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, where she had a short stay. Born in Pottsville, on May 16, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Mary Ney Cavalier. Alma was an Army veteran having served during World War II. Alma was a 1940 graduate of Pottsville High School and a 1955 graduate of Eastern School for Physician Aides, New York City, NY. Alma was employed by French Hospital , New York prior to working at Miners National Bank, from where she retired. She was a member of Saint John the Baptist Church, Pottsville. Alma was an avid reader and loved to do crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Famularo, who passed away July 10, 1985. Alma is survived by her cousin, Kathryn Flannigan, of New Jersey and her good friend and caretaker, Denise Foran, of Harrisburg. Private entombment will be held in Gethsemane Cemetery and Mausoleum, Laureldale, PA. Memorial contributions may be sent in Alma’s Memory to Hillside SPCA, Hillside Road, Pottsville, PA 17901.
