Allen H. Emenheiser

YORK- Allen H. Emenheiser, 77, died on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Yvonne (Saylor) Emenheiser to whom he was married for 59 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. with Pastor Terry Robinson officiating. A viewing will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the Dallastown Legion #605. Born on December 14, 1938 in Chanceford Twp., he was the son of the late Howard W. and Ruth Ann (Boyd) Emenheiser. Allen was an Administrative Supply Technician for the Federal Government and also worked at Quality Care and York Hospital Security. Mr. Emenheiser was a Sergeant 1st Class for the U.S. Army and retired on December 14, 1998 after 27 years of service. Allen was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and a life member of Yoe Ambulance, Yoe Fire Company, Red Lion Legion Post #543 and the Victory Athletic Club. Along with his wife, Yvonne, Allen is survived by one son, Terry Emenheiser and his companion, Rosemarie Colville of New Freedom; and one granddaughter, Carli Cohn of York.
