Alita Lewis

YORK- Alita (Rohrbaugh) Lewis, 57 of West Manchester Twp. passed away April 1, 2022 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Van J. Lewis, I, who passed away March 29, 2022. The couple had celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on September 10, 2021. A celebration of life service will be held for Van and Alita at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The service can be viewed live by searching Alita's obituary at heffnercare.com. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery in York. Alita was born in York on September 10, 1964, the daughter of George F. Rohrbaugh, Sr. of Manchester and Karen (McCarthy) Cunningham of York. She worked as a bus driver for F&S Transportation in Manchester. Alita had a love for animals, enjoyed coloring and fishing, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. Alita leaves a son, Daniel J. “DJ” Bange, III and his significant other Hayley Axsom; four stepsons, Van J. Lewis, II and his wife Tanaya, James Lewis and his wife Michelle, Bradley Lewis and his wife Casey Emig, and Lance Lewis; seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Kayla, Mason, Channing, Jordan, John, and Lillian. She also leaves, four brothers, George F. Rohrbaugh, Jr., Adam Cunningham and his wife Bonnie, Lance Cunningham and his wife Michelle, and John Rohrbaugh; a sister, Cris Stabley and her husband Blake and nieces and nephews.
