Alice M. Minnier

MILTON- Alice E. (Hauck) Reed - Minnier, 89, formally of Milton, died Friday, April 27, 2007 at Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville. She was the wife of the late Paul R. Minnier. Born June 2, 1917 at the family home in Union Co., a daughter of the late William I. and Ida Mae (Shiffer) Hauck. She was employed with Fox-Knapp Inc. for over 30 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, West Milton. Alice took pleasure in sewing and crocheting. She liked to travel and she was an avid reader. Alice is survived by two sons, Eugene B. and his wife, Georgia Speck of Clayton, NC and Brian I. Speck of Sumter, SC; a daughter, Virginia A. and her husband, David Bartraw of Montoursville; nine grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald M. Reed; her daughter-in-law, Ruth Speck; and all of her brothers and sisters, Paul, Catherine, Theodore, Raymond, Charles, Dorothy, and Harry. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 6 to 8:00pm, Tuesday, May 1st and from 9:30 to 10am, Wednesday, May 2nd at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, Inc., 125 North Front St., Milton. A funeral tribute service will be held at 10am, Wednesday, May 2nd at the funeral home. Burial is in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.
