Alice M. (Collins) Henry

DALLASTOWN Alice (Mary Alice Collins) Henry, 89, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2014 at Pleasant Acres. She was married to the late Earl Eugene Henry for 52 years until his death in 1996. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and GG. Family was everything to her. She was loved and will be missed by all that knew her. A visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A celebration of life service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. William H. Cluley, pastor of St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be at Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery, Felton. Alice was born February 24, 1925, in Felton. She was the daughter of the late Reid E. and Virgie A. (Hawks) Collins. She was a life long member of St. Paul (Lebanon) Lutheran Church in Felton and had worked as a seamstress for many years at both the former Jayson’s Sewing Factory in York and Merry Mites in Jacobus. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Sprenkle (Keith); her son, Edwin Henry (Jenny); her grandchildren, Todd Henry (Donna), Amy Henry, Nicole Crocker (Scott); and great grandchildren, Andrew, Emilie and Mary Alice. Dianna Henry and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Collins. We would like to thank her care givers at Victorian Villa and Pleasant Acres for taking care of the angel who took care of all of us. The grass withers and the flower fades, but the Word of our Lord endures forever. Thanks be to God for this life that has left the earth.
