Alice Fae (Blakslee) Harman

JERSEY SHORE - Alice Fae (Blakslee) Harman, 76, died on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at The Gatehouse at Divine Providence, Williamsport. Alice was born on October 27, 1934 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late Mae Edith (Else). She was a graduate of Muncy High School. On April 10, 1954, she married the late James L. Harman who had died on May 8, 2000 and had celebrated 46 years as husband and wife before his death. She had worked many years at Lysock View and Leader Nursing Home as a nurses aide. Her favorite things to do in life was spending time with her family, playing cards, having picnics and going to yard sales. Alice is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Bob and Judy Harman of Williamsport and Steve and Mae Harman of Jersey Shore, five daughters and three sons-in-law; Deborah and John McCollum of Linden, Lynda Finch and her companion Lenny Kalkbrenner of Genesee, Nancy and Gary Carson of Jersey Shore, Kathleen Harman and her companion Carolyn Cohick of Williamsport and Elaine and Ron Guthrie of Jersey Shore, 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, numerous step grand and great-grandchildren and one sister; Louise Beck of S. Williamsport. In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by one son; Jimmy Harman, one granddaughter; Karen Brooks, one brother; William Else, two sisters; Carol Ann Hartel and Doris Little and step father; Burton N. Hall. There will be a public viewing from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport with the funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m. The Reverend Kerry Aucker will officiate the services.
