Alice E. Cutshall

ALBUQUERQUE, NM- Alice Emily (Stover) Cutshall, age 92, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at her residence. She was the wife of Thomas Daniel Cutshall. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday October 1, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York. Alice was born in York on November 13, 1923. She was the youngest of 5 children of the late John and Olive (Daniel) Stover. She retired in 1983 after over 20 years of service as an accounting administrator at Campbell Chain in York, later becoming Cooper Tools. Alice and her husband celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on June 20, 2016. The couple was married at Zion United Church of Christ in York. Alice had many talents and interests. She was self-taught on the piano at an early age and continued to play both the piano and organ throughout her life. She was an excellent artist and loved to draw. Alice also created many beautiful needlework and cross-stitch pictures. Additionally she was a talented seamstress, sewing her own clothes and making beautiful dresses for both her daughter and grandchildren. Alice had a love of cats and anything cat related, and had pet cats most of her life. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchild and was dearly loved by all. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her! Along with her husband, Thomas, Mrs. Cutshall leaves a son, Daniel T. Cutshall and his wife Sheila of York; a daughter, Joyce E. Murata and her husband, Glen of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren, Erin Gordon, Allison Murata, Megan Barbor, and Nathan Cutshall; and a great grandson, Blake Barbor.
