Alfred L. Leese

YORK- Alfred L. Leese, 85 passed away Wednesday January 28, 2009 at the York Lutheran Retirement Village. He was the husband of the late Dorothy R. (Bahn) Leese. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30AM Monday, February 2, 2009 at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Road, York with his pastors Rev. Paul W. and Sara A. Gausmann officiating. Viewings will be held from 2-4:00PM Sunday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York and from 9:30-10:30AM Monday at the Church. Burial will be in St. Paul's (Wolf's) Union Cemetery. Born on May 29, 1923 in West York, a son to the late Ralph L. and Irene E. (Miller) Leese, he worked the majority of his life at Industrial Pattern Works. Mr. Leese enjoyed playing cards and playing pool. He was a member at Thomasville Senior Center. Mr. Leese was a US Army veteran having served during WWII. Mr. Leese is survived by a son, Jeffrey A. and his wife Pamela O. Leese of West Grove; two daughters, Cynthia A. and her husband Dale Martin of Shiloh and Christina I. and her husband David F. Brown of Spring Grove; seven grandchildren; 3 great grandsons; a sister, Freda and her husband James Haugh of York; and a special friend Ruby Druck. He is preceded in death by a sister Margaret Senft. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Road, York, PA 17404
