Alex Lozano

YORK- Alex Lozano, 39, went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with Leukemia on Sunday, November 11, 2012. He was the husband of Maria E. (Garcia) Lozano. The couple shared their lives together for 13 years and was married March 26, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 309 South George Street in York. Father Jonathan P. Sawicki will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York and Friday from 1-2 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 1 p.m. at the church. Entombment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York. Alex was born in Ilabasco, Cabanas El Salvador on December 21, 1972, a son of Maria (Gillen) Lozano of El Salvador and the late Jose Lozano. He worked as a cook for Alexander’s Family Restaurant in York for 20 years. Alex was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in York. He was a generous and kind man with a big heart. He was a wonderful father and enjoyed playing soccer with his boys. Along with his wife, Alex leaves two sons, Alex Lozano, Jr. and Andy Lozano, both at home; a daughter, Alexhandra “Santana” Lozano of Fayetteville, PA; four brothers, Pablo Lozano, Boanerge Lozano, Jose Lozano, and Osmin Lozano, all of York; three sisters, Sonia Hidalgo, Gloria Rivera, both of York and Alba Garcia of El Salvador; and numerous nieces and nephews.
