Alethia Mae Hein

POTTSVILLE - Alethia Mae Hein, 89, of Pottsville, formerly of Port Carbon, died Saturday night at ManorCare Health Services. Born in Port Carbon on May 29, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Buelah Everett Hein. Until retiring, Alethia worked for Pottsville Mills. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Port Carbon, the senior citizens of Port Carbon, where she enjoyed playing cards and the American Legion Auxiliary, Port Carbon. She enjoyed walking and could be seen walking around town often. Surviving Alethia are: a niece, a nephew and a cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Bruce, Zane and Lewis and Lamar Hein. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM with the Salm Regnald Leibensperger officiating. Family and friends may call on Friday morning from 10 AM until time of service from the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville.
