YORKHAVEN – Aletha (Wolfe) Dietz Jones, 84, died Friday, June 17, 2011 at Camp Hill Manor Care Nursing Facility. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 7 p.m. at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street, Lewisberry, with the Bishop Ronald Bennie. A viewing will be from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be privately held in Tri-County Memorial Park. Aletha was born February 6th, 1927 in Steelton, a daughter of the late Henry G. and Anna E. (Brandt) Wolfe. She was a member of Lewisberry 2nd Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She worked at Hill’s Department Store in customer service for some time, later working at Red Land’s Senior Center as a receptionist. She retired from Dupont Corporation where she worked in components and electronics as a laborer. Aletha was very active in the Red Land Senior Center and enjoyed having breakfast with her family and friends in different local restaurants every Thursday. She was an avid outdoors lover and gardener. She loved gathering together with friends and family. Aletha is survived by three sons, Johnny R. Dietz of Yorkhaven, Jimmy L. Dietz of Reeser Summitt, and David S. Dietz of New Cumberland; two daughters, Patricia M. Stevens and husband Thomas of New Cumberland and Annette D. Barton also of New Cumberland; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one sister, Emma Roads; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert B. Dietz; three sisters, Edna Yoe, Ruth Carney, and Edith Fromm; and one brother, Barney Wolfe.
