Alene O. "Sam" Dehoff

Alene O. "Sam" Dehoff Alene O. Dehoff, 94, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Spring Creek Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. She was born February 9, 1923 in Jacox, WV to the late Glenn and Mabel (Cutlip) McCollam and was one of five siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Dehoff. She was a homemaker who also cared for foster children from York and Dauphin Counties, liked western novels and enjoyed flower gardening. The church she attended was Mt. Airy United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, Shane Koons (Tina) of Greencastle; four daughters, D. Diane McCune (Terry) of Clearwater, FL, Wanda Moran of Vanceburg, KY, Deborah Putze (Dennis) of Mechanicsburg and Sharon Fesus (Charles D.) of New Cumberland; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. There will be no viewing. A graveside service will be 10:00 am Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry with the Rev. Michael Brunner officiating. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Spring Creek, especially Shawna, Dori, Ingrid, Kina, Fanta and the Physical Therapy Department for the loving care they gave to our mom.
