BROGUE- Aldo M. Gillo, Jr., 55, of Brogue, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at York Hospital. He was the loving husband of Constance M. (Gregory) Gillo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Saturday, November 3, 2007 at St. Joseph's Dallastown Catholic Church, 251 E. Main St., Dallastown with the Rev. Charles J. Persing officiating. A viewing will be 6-9pm Friday, November 2, 2007 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the Dallastown American Legion Honor Guard. Mr. Gillo was born in Spangler, PA on July 30, 1952, a son of the late Agnes (Mihorek) and Aldo J. Gillo, Sr. As a child, Aldo attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic School and went on to graduate from York Catholic in 1971. He met and married Constance Gregory on August 24, 1972. Aldo joined the Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was very social, belonging to the American Legion Dallastown Post #605, Kreutz Creek VFW Hellam Post #7045, and Korean W.V.A. Chapter #178. Aldo also was a member of the Prince Athletic Association, the Locust Gap Fire Company, and the Brogue Jaycee's. He was an avid hunter and was a member of the Accomac Rod & Gun Hunting Club and the Collinsville Fish & Game Club. Aldo enjoyed watching NASCAR and Mark Martin was his favorite driver but most of all he loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. Aldo is survived by two daughters, Jessica A. and her husband, Joshua Stiffler of Hellam and Kimberly J. Gillo and her companion James "Whipper" Moore of Brogue; three grandchildren, Nathan A. Dubs, Kaiden J. Gillo-Moore, and Olivia "OP" Gillo-Moore; one grandchild on the way, Baby Stiffler; two brothers, James A. and his wife, Fern Gillo of York and Andrew J. and his wife, Jehanne Gillo of MD; a sister, Rose M. and her husband, Richard Detter of York; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Patient Help Fund, York Health Foundation, 45 Monument Rd., Ste. 200, York, PA 17403. Aldo was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
