NEWBERRY TWP. - Alda M. Deardorff, 93, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Carlisle Regional Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Deardorff. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Church of God, 28 East Main St., Mechanicsburg with her pastor, the Rev. Charlie Hostetter, officiating. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Lewisberry, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Deardorff was born May 30, 1914, in Harrisonburg, VA. She was the oldest child of Joseph W. and Lina M. (Estep) Biller. She was a loving homemaker and had worked for the Musselman Apple Factory in Biglerville and had been a short order cook in Lemoyne. She was a member of First Church of God, Mechanicsburg and was a thoughtful, caring and giving person. Mrs. Deardorff leaves her daughter, Mary L. Wise and husband, Jacob of York Haven; four grandchildren, William,. James, Christine and Brian; four great grandchildren, William, Jr., Zachary, Kala and Chelsea; a sister, Evelyn Knisely of Harrisburg; and a brother, Stanley. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ross and Lake Biller and a sister, Janet Morgan. Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God, 28 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
