RED LION - Alberta R. (Shoemaker) Winemiller, 82, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at her home. She was the wife of the late Charles Henry Winemiller to whom she was married for 30 years. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Luther Memorial Church, 1907 Hollywood Drive, York, with her Pastor, The Reverend Elizabeth C. Polanzke officiating. Viewings will be Sunday, December 28 from 6-8 PM at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, and from 10-11 AM on Monday prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Round Hill Presbyterian Cemetery. Born April 28, 1932 in Lancaster, Alberta was a daughter of the late Albert K. and Ruth K. (Gerlach) Shoemaker. She worked in the cafeteria for Dallastown Area School District for 24 years until her retirement in 1999 and was also an Avon sales representative. Mrs. Winemiller was a member of the Luther Memorial Church. She was a clothing model, a Red Cross volunteer, a voting poll volunteer and a member of the White Rose Square Dancers. She was an avid collector of angels and bells. Alberta loved to travel but ultimately her life revolved around her family. Mrs. Winemiller is survived by a son, William R. Winemiller and his wife Jane of York; four daughters, Bonnie L. Shupp and her husband Brian of Red Lion, Ruth E. Winemiller of Red Lion, Joann M. Lang of Jacksonville, FL, and Rebecca L. Winemiller of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Jacob Winemiller, Christopher Winemiller, Amber Shupp and Jared Shupp; two great grandchildren, Braden Winemiller and Dylan Winemiller; two brothers, Paul Shoemaker and his wife Shirley of Red Lion and Albert Ray Shoemaker and his wife Gloria of Shiloh, and a sister, Marian Smith of Dover. Memorial contributions may be made to Luther Memorial Church, 1907 Hollywood Drive, York, PA 17403.
