Alberta F. (Fye) Shank

REYNOLDSVILLE - Alberta F. (Fye) Shank, age 82,died at the Dubois Nursing Home on Sunday, Feb. 04, 2007. She was born in Renovo on September 04, 1924, a daughter of the late Albert S. Fye Sr. and Margaret A. (Baker) Fye. Alberta was wed to Robert C. Shank, Sr., on October 06, 1969 in Chestertown, Maryland. She was a graduate of the Renovo High School, and was Catholic by faith. Alberta was an avid cook & devoted homemaker. She loved flowers and the color purple. Alberta last worked as a food worker at Wesley College in Dover, Delaware. She is survived by her husband, and her daughters Sandra J. Parker of Dubois, Cindy (James) Horne of Reynoldsville, & Alice Marie Shank of Renovo, and her son Robert C. (Terri) Shank Jr. of Philadelphia. Alberta is also survived by five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, & one great great granddaughter; her brothers Albert S. Fye Jr. of North Bend & Francis P. Fye of Williamsport; her sisters Marion R. Lisi of Renovo & June Shangraw of Williamsport; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 1:00 PM, on Thursday, February 08, 2007 with the Reverend Donald E. Boslett officiating. Interment followed in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hyner. Family and friends were received at the church from 12:30 PM until the hour of the service. Contributions in Alberta's memory were requested to the Clinton County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 1948 East Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 - 3945.
