Alberta C. (Stewart) Watters

YORK- Alberta Carolyn (Stewart) Watters, 85 of York PA was called back to Heaven to be with The Lord on 24 July 2012. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with the Reverend Richard B. Starr officiating. A viewing will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Born September 15, 1926 in Brockway, PA she was the Loving Daughter of the late William Albert Stewart and Mary Isabell Jones Stewart. Alberta Graduated from Brockway High School and was consistently on the High School Honor Roll. Mrs. Watters was the wife of the late Walter E. Watters. They had seven children, five boys and two girls. Five of her children were in the Army, Air Force, Marines and Naval Service respectively. Alberta was a Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was an active member of the September Senior Citizens Group, where she was always active on the Senior Council. Alberta helped to deliver meals to the Elderly. Mrs. Watters is survived by two daughters, Barbara Barton of Missouri and Susan Fraser of Virginia; two sons, Roger Watters of York, PA and Robert Watters of Illionois; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alberta was very loved by all who knew her and she will always be missed and she will never be forgotten, as a family we were blessed to have her and we know that we will see her again one day.
