Albert S. Fye, Jr.

RENOVO - Albert S. Fye, Jr., 81, of North Bend passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Bucktail Medical Center, S. Renovo. He was born in North Bend, December 12, 1932 to the late Albert S. Fye, Sr. and Margaret (Baker). Albert was married on July 21, 1972 to the former Sara J. Soverns Russell who died in Sept. 24, 2003. He worked as a brakeman and conductor for the Pennsylvania Rail Road for 42 years and also the Tannery in North Bend. Albert attended North Bend Schools. Albert was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Renovo. He enjoyed chopping wood, taking walks and going to camp. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Surviving are one son Daryl (Leslie) Russell of Flemington and four daughters Annette Hunsinger of Benton, Kara Duffield of North Bend, Grace (Paul) Maxwell of Renovo and Lili (Scott) Weibley of Carlisle. 16 Grandchildren Brianna Walker, Larissa Furl, Billy Furl, Josi Furl, Chad Fye, Shawn Fye, Mary Rose Hunsinger, Christopher Duffield, Tiffani Duffield, Benjamin Russell, Emily Russell, Sarah Maxwell, MaryJo Gentzyel, Robyn Maxwell-Stewart, Corey and Jennifer Gephart. Several Great Grandchildren Several nieces and nephews survive and also a sister-in-law Betty Fye of Montoursville. One sister June Shangraw of Williamsport. Two sisters Alberta Shank and Marion Lisi and one brother Francis Fye preceded him in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Church, Renovo with the Rev. Charles Ugo officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the mass. Memorial contributions can be made to Bucktail Medical Center, 1001 Pine Street, S. Renovo, PA 17764 or St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Improvement Fund. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner. Maxwell Funeral Home, Renovo has charge of arrangements.
