MONROETON- Albert Miller Woleslagle, 93, of Monroeton (Mountain Lake), PA passed away on Friday, September 7, 2007 at his home, surrounded by his family. Family and friends are welcome to call from 12:00-1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Albert's life will be held Tuesday, September 11th at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Donn Hauser officiating. Burial will be in Mountain Lake Cemetery following the funeral service. Albert was born on September 7, 1914 in East Troy, PA. He was the son of the late Guy B. and Lottie (Ellis) Woleslagle. Albert was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1933. A carpenter by trade, he worked for F.P. Case and Son of Troy until 1942 when he moved to the Glenn Allen farm at Mountain Lake and joined in partnership with Mr. Allen. After Mr. Allen's passing, he assumed ownership of the farm until his retirement in 1977. Albert was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Troy, PA, but in later years attended the Independent Baptist Church of Towanda. Surviving Albert are his children: A. Allen (Gale) Woleslagle of Williamsport, PA, Duane G. (Sally) Woleslagle of Monroeton, PA, Joann L. (David) Wright of Laceyville, Pa, and Gary M. (Sharon) Woleslagle of Montoursville, PA. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters: Doris (Woleslagle) Haven of Troy, PA and Helen (Woleslagle) Wrisley of Mainesburg, PA, along with several nieces and nephews. His parents preceded Albert in death, and also his first wife, Lucy (Wrisley) Woleslagle who passed away in 1939, and by his wife of 60 years, E. Louise (Allen) Woleslagle who passed away on April 9, 2001. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Marie Woleslagle who passed away on July 8, 2004, a brother, Ellis Woleslagle, and sisters Sarah (Woleslagle) Shaffer, Mary Ella (Woleslagle) Lyon, and June Woleslagle. Memorial contributions may be made in Albert's memory to the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Bradford County, RR 1 Box 143, Towanda, PA 18848.
