YORK HAVEN - Albert M. Lilley, Sr., age 84, died Monday, April 21, 2008 at his residence. He was the husband of Beatrice [Zeigler] Lilley to whom he was married for 61 years on March 4, 2008. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 25, 2008 at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Rolling Green Cemetery with full military rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born October 23, 1923 in Silver Springs, a son of the late Wilson D. and Amelia Lilley and stepson of the late Margaret Lilley, he was a retired carpenter. Mr. Lilley enjoyed watching NASCAR and had been a former racecar driver at Silver Spring and Susquehanna Speedways. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. In addition to his wife, Mr. Lilley is survived by a son, Albert M. Lilley, Jr. and wife Beverly Lilley of New Cumberland; two daughters, Linda J. and husband Samuel Carey of Dillsburg and Lori A. Carl of Cambridge, MD; seven grandchildren, Bryan and wife Traci, Christopher and wife Erin, and Kevin Lilley, Jeff Carey, Tina and husband Rick Watts, and Matthew and Bryce Carl; eight great grandchildren, Victoria, Ross, Mason, and Brayden Lilley, Marisa and Kara Watts, and Jason and Kaitlyn Carey; two sisters, Patricia Radel of Shermansdale and Verna Simon of Dauphin; and nieces and nephews.
