Albert J. Abrachinsky, Jr.

POTTSVILLE - Albert J. Abrachinsky, Jr. 80, of Pottsville died Thursday at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville. Mr. Abrachinsky was born July 4, 1928 in Pottsville the son of the late Albert J. and Sophie Oschman Abrachinsky, Sr. He graduated form Pottsville High School, and was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Abrachinsky was a bricklayer and a member of the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local #47. He retired in 1990. He is preceded in death by a brother Joseph Abrachinsky, a sister Sister Alberta Dolores, IHM, a daughter Joan Baumann and a nephew Kevin Leibel. Surviving is his wife Jennie N. Ross Abrachinsky to whom he would have celebrated their 39 anniversary on August 11, two daughters Sandra, wife of Glenn Webber, Tuchahoe, N.J.; Leona, wife of Steve Matz, Pottsville; a son Leo, husband of Donna Walchak, Liverpool, PA; a sister Mary Ann, wife of Norman Leibel, Greentown, PA; and a niece Kimberly Leibel, Greentown, PA, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrate at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Saint Patrick Church. Family and friends may call at the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 9:30 A.M. till 10:30 A.M. There will be no calling hour Monday evening. Interment with military honor will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
