Albert Frederic Kaiser

COOKEVILLE, TN - Albert Frederic Kaiser, 76, of Cookeville, TN died Thursday, June 11, 2009 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Born in Wilkes-Barre on August 29, 1932, he was a son of the late Martin Luther and Evelyn Harrington Kaiser. He was a graduate of Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre and Wyoming Seminary, and Dean School of Business, Kingston. Albert attended Wilkes College for a year before joining the United States Marine Corps where he was stationed at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. Following his tour of duty with the Marines he attended Michigan Tech University where he earned his BS in Chemical Engineering in 1963. He was employed by Corning Glass Works, Corning, NY then was transferred to Danville, VA. In 1967 he was reassigned to Westinghouse Electric and then in 1970 to King Industries, Cookeville, TN. Albert earned his private pilot certificate while in the Marines, but continued training to obtain his commercial pilot and flight instructor certificates with instrument and multi-engine ratings. He also built and flew model airplanes. He is survived by his brothers, Martin L. Kaiser, Cockeysville, MD and Ronald H. Kaiser, Nuangola Lake, PA; former wife, Roberta P. Kaiser; step children, Clint Hendley and Sherri Felicia Redman; as well as his grandchildren Steven Redman, Christina Redman-Martin, and Michelle Redman. A graveside service will be held in Oak Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, June 24 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Dr. Robert M. Zanicky officiating. Local arrangements are entrusted to Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., Wilkes-Barre.
