Agnes L. (Kitner) Davis

Manchester—Agnes L. (Kitner) Davis, 87, died Friday, February 13, 2009 at her residence in Conewago Township. She was the wife of the late James W. Davis, Sr., to she was married to for 61 years. A celebration of life service will be held private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held in Suburban Memorial Gardens. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Davis was born March 26, 1921 in York, a daughter of the late Cloyd J. and Carrie V. (Brady) Kitner. She was employed as a Seamstress with South Pine Nightwear for several years and was also a dedicated homemaker. A member of Ambassadors Bible Church in Manchester, she also was an avid NASCAR fan, loved quilting and sewing, but most of all she loved being a grandmother. Mrs. Davis is survived by one son James W. Davis, Jr., of Columbus, GA, two daughters, Vonnie K. Davis of Manchester and Annette R. Wilt of Dover, 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, one brother, Joseph Kitner of Maryland and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
