MILTON - Adrian J. Kearney, 69, died on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. He was the husband of the late Mary C. (Carr) Kearney who had died on August 17, 2007. They had been married for 44 years before her death. Adrian had resided at the Kramm Nursing Home, Watsontown for 1 year. Adrian was born in Northumberland on September 2, 1938 and was a son of the late Kenneth and Lillie (Wolf) Kearney. He was a graduate of Shikellamy High School, class of 1956. He had worked and retired after 30 years service with Chef Boyardee. Adrian was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Milton, was an avid New York Yankee and Penn State fan, enjoyed coin collecting, going out to eat, loved singing to his children and grandchildren, playing poker and getting visitors at the nursing home. He had touched many lives with his humble and gentle spirit and was especially devoted to his family with patience and kindness. In August and again in November of this year, he would have been a great grandfather. Adrian is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law; Yvonne M. and Terry Coup of Milton and Lori A. and Daniel Smith of Northumberland, three grandchildren; Christina N. Coup of Milton, Jason A. Coup and his wife Melissa of Milton and Jocelyn E. Smith of Northumberland, two brothers and two sisters-in-law; Kenneth and Chere Kearney and Nathan and Kay Kearney, all of Northumberland, 4 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law; Esther Stamm of Danville, Beverly and Robert Kuenseler of Northumberland, Ruth and Butch Rothermel of Milton and Lois Goff of Northumberland, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat; Cracker Jack. His parents and wife had preceded him in death. A public viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Douglas J. Seagle officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Adrian's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 229 Center St., Milton, PA 17847.
