Adolf "Addie" Bergmueller

NEW COLUMBIA - Adolf “Addie” Bergmueller, 90, died Monday, February 15, 2016 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. He was born on October 02, 1925 in Avenel, New Jersey and was the son of the late Leopold and Emilie (Prueninger) Bergmueller. Addie served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. On February 17, 1951 Addie married the former Lucy E. (Hobbs) Bergmueller, who survives, and they were two days short of celebrating 65 years of marriage together. Addie worked for the U.S. Metals Smelting and Refinery in Carteret N.J. as an electrician, then went on to become a supervisor and retired after 40 years. He was a member of the New Hope Lutheran Brethren Church of Lewisburg and enjoyed camping but most of all he took great pride in his family and home. In addition to his wife Lucy, Addie is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Robert A. and Linda Bergmueller of Apex, NC, two daughters and one son-in-law; Beth Bergmueller of High Point, NC and Amy and Robert “Bob” Stollsteimer of Browns Mills, NJ and three grandchildren; Jennifer Bergmueller, Bobby Stollsteimer and Aaron Stollsteimer. In addition to his parents Addie was preceded in death by three brothers; Walter, Ernest and Paul Bergmueller and four sisters; Hedwig Grant, Louise Bergmueller, Margaret Bennet and Irma Crawford. A public viewing will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 19, 2016 at the New Hope Lutheran Brethren Church, 205 South 14th Street, Lewisburg, PA 17837 followed by the funeral at 11:00a.m. with Pastor Dave McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia. Arrangements are being handled by The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
