WELLSBURG NY - Adeline L. (Park) Church, of Old Main Street Wellsburg, NY, formerly of Nichols and Elmira, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at home at the age of 88. She was born March 3, 1923 in Nichols, NY daughter of the late Claude and Gertrude (Bensley) Park. Adeline and her late husband Donald H. Church were married in 1946 and enjoyed many years together prior to his passing. Adeline worked in the Accounting Department at American LaFrance in Elmira, NY prior to retiring. She was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Adeline like the outdoors and was a farm girl at heart. Her other interest included watching baseball and cheering for the NY Mets and playing cards with her church friends and at Chapel Park. Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca & William “Bill” Liddy of Wellsburg, NY and Carla & Michael Booker of Wellsburg, a brother and sister-in-law, Robert & Edna Park of Wichita Falls, TX, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Adeline was predeceased by her parents, husband Donald H. Church and her brother Richard Park. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 AM on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Westside United Methodist Church, 744 West First Street, Elmira, NY. Her funeral will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 11 AM at the Church. Interment will follow in Addison Rural Cemetery, Addison, NY.
