Addie (Johnson) Anderson

WILLIAMSPORT - Addie (Johnson) Anderson, 79, died Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Manor Care Health Services – North, Williamsport. She was born on August 11, 1936 in Mayesville, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late John M. and Laura (Berges) Johnson. On May 19, 1972 Addie married the late George Anderson, Jr. and they celebrated 27 years of marriage together until his death on September 29, 1999. Addie enjoyed cooking, playing cards and games. She is survived by four sons; James Johnson, Jr. of Williamsport, John M. Johnson, Sr. of Williamsport, Clarence E. Hannah of Pittsburgh and Thomas Hanna of Philadelphia, three daughters; Laura M. Hannah of Philadelphia, Rosie L. Hannah of Philadelphia and Georgette Anderson of Philadelphia, numerous grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one sister; Ella Brown of South Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Addie was preceded in death by two sons; Charles E. Johnson and an infant son, two daughters; Ethel M. and Linda S., four brothers; Willie, Bubba, Freddie and Thomas and two sisters; Mabel and Mosalee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Community Church, 1300 Tinsman Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701 A public viewing will be held 11:00 – 12:00 p.m., Friday, October 02, 2015 at Hope Community Church, 1300 Tinsman Ave., Williamsport PA 17701 followed by the funeral at 12:00 p.m. with Bishop Joseph C. Garrett of New Way of Life Church, Philadelphia officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
