Ada Irene Young

BELLEFONTE - Ada Irene (Hackenberg) Young, 74, a former resident of Lock Haven passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Centre Crest in Bellefonte where she was a patient two years. Born in Lock Haven November 26, 1945 a daughter of the late Sylvester “Pete” and Patricia “Goldie” (Bower) Hackenberg. Ada was married to John W. Young, Sr. who died in 1992. She loved spending time with her family, cooking and baking. Ada was a 1963 graduate of Lock Haven High School. Surviving are three sons, John (Tracy) Young, Richard Young and Pete Young and three daughters Debbie (Dean) Litz, Cindy (Terry) Miller and Tammy (Paul) Miller and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Four brothers Jerome, Glen, Charles and Arlyn. She was preceded in death by two sisters Miriam and Thelma and three brothers Fred, Sylvester and Barry Lee. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2020 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Jordan Alturas officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at Hayes-Fearon-Bossert Cemetery, Beech Creek.
