NEW COLUMBIA - Aaron M. Klinger, 22, went to be with the Lord as a result of injuries from an automobile accident on Sunday, January 18, 2009. He was a devoted Christian and his family is at peace knowing that he is in heaven with Jesus. Aaron was born on September 14, 1986 in Lewisburg and was the son of Michael F. and Becky S. (Bower) Klinger of New Columbia. He was a graduate from the Milton Area High School and was in his senior year at Bloomsburg University studying Exercise Science. Aaron also worked part time with the Evangelical Community Hospital's Fitness Center. He had attended Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton, played basketball and baseball for Milton High School and was one of only three proud members of the basketball team that had won four titles in the district championships and was the top three-point shooter for two years in the Susquehanna Valley. Aaron also had earned numerous achievements in sports and enjoyed golfing. He was a member of the Northumberland Renegades wooden bat league baseball team. He had received the "Outstanding Senior of the Month" award while he was in high school. He played guitar, enjoyed music and lived life to the fullest with his family and friends, always making them laugh. Aaron enjoyed spending time with his nephews, whom he loved dearly, and was very close to his Mimi and Poppop, who never missed any of his sports activities. In addition to his parents, Aaron is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law; Renee M. and Gene A. Huston of Gaithersburg, MD and Tawnee M. and Brian D. Swartz of State College, two nephews; Avery J. Swartz of State College and Callan J. Huston of Gaithersburg, MD, maternal grandparents; Philip C. and Lillian W. Pastor Ken Paulhamus will officiate the services. The family will provide the flowers.
