Warren L. Glass

DOVER- Warren L. Glass, 78, of Dover Township, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Marguerite S. “Peggy” (Krise) Glass. The couple celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on October 17, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 W. Canal Rd. in Abbotstown. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd in York and noon-1 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. The Reverend Timothy D. Marcoe will be officiating at the service. Entombment will be private in Holy Saviour Cemetery in York. Mr. Glass was born in Ebensburg, PA on October 27, 1940, the son of the late Robert E. and Hannah C. (Wiseman) Glass. He retired in 2003 from Pennex Aluminum in Wellsville, where he had been a truck driver for 19 years. Prior to that he worked for US Steel in Johnstown. Mr. Glass was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbotstown. He was a devoted husband and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Glass leaves four sons, Jeff Glass, Ken Glass, Dan Glass (Susan) Mark Glass (Lisa); a daughter, Kathy Glass; seven grandchildren, Eric, Andy (Samantha), Alex, Cody (Tiffany), Courtney (Ron), Stephanie, and Caitlyn; a great granddaughter, Aubrey; two brothers, Ronald and Wayne Glass; two sisters, Dee Stahl and Mern McClelland; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Eric Glass; a daughter, Diane Frey; and a brother William Glass.
