York—Steven P. Yohe, 56, died Monday, July 14, 2008 in Lycoming County. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. A viewing will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born on September 11, 1951 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Paul and Mary (Gebhart) Yohe. He was the small business owner of Steven Yohe Construction in York for 30 years. A United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, he then transferred into the Marine Corps reserve and retired in 1999 as a GySgt after 20 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the W. York V.F.W., Hanover American Legion, Hanover Am Vets, Viking Athletic Association, Prince Athletic Club and ran the Marine Corp marathon in Washington D.C., 3 times. Mr. Yohe is survived by a daughter, Jennifer L. Wagman of York, two sons, Jeremy P. Yohe of Washington, DC, and Jacob R. Yohe of Dallastown, two grandchildren, Dylan A. Wagman and Blake E. Wagman, both of York, two brothers, Randy A. Yohe and Jerry A. Yohe, both of York, three sisters, Cindy D. McCoury of Thomasville, Pamela E. Keller of Long Beach, CA, and Wendy E. McKinney of Thomasville an Aunt, Irene Shank of Gettysburg and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne B. Yohe, sister, Sarah "Jeanne" Welcomer and brother, Teddy L. Yohe. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Steven P. Yohe Memorial Fund, C/O Peoples Bank, contributions may be mailed to or dropped off at any Peoples Bank location.
