METAIRIE, LOUISIANA - Robert Wilton Fox, 82, formerly of Milton, died on Friday, April 20, 2007 in Metairie, Louisiana. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret E. "Betty" Fox. He was born on August 30, 1924, in Cass, West Virginia, a son of the late Ray W. and Ruth (Bender) Fox. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII, and saw duty in the Pacific theater as a tailgunner on a dive bomber. He had served on the USS Antietam and attended the reunions every year. Mr. Fox was employed by Union Carbide as personnel manager until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of the Rotary Clubs in the areas that he had lived. Mr. Fox has resided in Metairie, Louisiana for the past 6 years and had also resided in the states of Texas, New York, Illinois and Florida. Mr. Fox is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Karen (Fox) Pilie' and Glen M. Pilie' of New Orleans, LA, one son and daughter-in-law; Robert Wilton Fox, Jr. and Sandra (Storms) Fox of Tampa, FL, and four grandchildren; Kristin Fox, Nicole P. Dellaccio, Philip Pilie' and Patrick Pilie'. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister; Evelyn (Fox) Rayborn. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, 47 Walnut Street, Milton, PA 17847. The Reverend Stephen G. Shirk will officiate the services. Burial with military honors will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton. There will be a public viewing at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are by the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, PA.
