LEWISBURG - Randall M. Young, 77, of Beaver Run Road, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010 in Milton. Randall was born on January 17, 1933 in White Deer and was the son of the late Alfred M. and Ada V. (Smith) Young. He had graduated from Watsontown High School, Class of 1951. On February 28, 1953, he had married the former Ethel I. (Lilley) who survives, and have celebrated 57 years as husband and wife. He was a veteran of the US Army. Randall was an ordained minister. He worked as a self-employed carpenter and several area factories, TRW in Danville and Sprout & Waldron in Muncy. He also owned Susquehanna Scuba Center in Sunbury and taught scuba classes for many years. He had assisted police in recoveries when there were drownings. During the Agnes Flood in 1972, Randall risked his life by diving in flood waters to turn off a propane tank at a Milton factory. Randall enjoyed hunting, fishing, helping to butcher at Dan Snyder's butcher shop and his family. In addition to his wife Ethel, he is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law; Marvin and Maureen Young of Lewisburg, Barry Young of Lewisburg, Kenneth and Mary Young of Lewisburg and Wayne Young of Albemarle, NC and his former wife, Lisa Young of New Berlin, one daughter and son-in-law; Rose and Jay Mull of Watsontown; 14 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law; Reverend Leon and Helen Young of Newville, one sister; Lenna Mae Coup of Allenwood and one sister-in-law; Joann Young of Fl. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister; Frances Young and one brother; Olan Young. There will be a gathering of friends and family from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2010 at the Truth and Restoration Church (formerly Vincent Memorial Chapel) Sand Hill Road, Montandon, PA with a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2010 at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery with the Reverend Leon Young officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Randall Young, C/O M & C Federal Credit Union, St. Mary Street, Lewisburg, PA 17837. Arrangements are being handled by the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton.
