YORK – Norman D. Grim, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Mary M. (Sheets) Grim to whom he was married for 61 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Otterbein United Methodist Church of Spry, 50 School St., York with his pastor, The Rev. Dr. Kenneth M. Loyer officiating. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 AM Tuesday at the Church with Masonic rites provided by F&AM Red Lion Lodge. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military rites provided by Dallastown American Legion Honor Guard. Born September 18, 1927 in Winterstown, a son of the late Jacob L. and Florence E. (Aldinger) Grim, he retired from Worden & Shewell and prior to that had worked at Shipley-Humble. He was a member of Otterbein U.M. Church, Dallastown American Legion Post 605, and Victory Athletic Assoc. His Masonic affiliations include Red Lion Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 649, Red Lion Scottish Rite, Harrisburg Consistory, and Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He was a US Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. In addition to his wife, Mr. Grim is survived by a daughter, Lisa M. Nace of Elizabethtown; two sons, Norman D. Grim, II of Columbia and Michael A. and wife Cathy Grim of Red Lion; six grandchildren, Josh, William, Nathan, Cortney, Morgan, and Taylor; a twin sister, Norma Fink of York; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Jacob “Lute” Grim. Memorial contributions may be made to Otterbein U.M. Church of Spry, 50 School St., York, PA 17403.
