Felton-Marian O. (Fake) Morton, 80 of Chanceford Township, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at her residence. She was the wife of Hugh E. Morton. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on October 9, 2023 and the family had just celebrated Marian’s 80th birthday.
A celebration of life service will be held at noon on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 11a.m. to noon. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York.
Mrs. Morton was born in Chanceford Township on April 13, 1944, the daughter of the late Norman and Margaret (Warner) Fake. She retired from McCrory’s Distribution and then worked for Lincoln Intermediate Unit.
Mrs. Morton was a member of New Harmony Presbyterian Church in Brogue. She was a member of the former York County Fiddler’s Association and enjoyed knitting and Crocheting, as well as reading books.
Mrs. Morton leaves a son, William Morton and his wife Jody of Lancaster; a daughter, Sherry Cunningham and her husband Mike of Felton; four grandchildren, Casey Morton, Elizabeth Sinclair, Kala Cunningham, and Paige Cunningham; three great grandchildren, Liam, Luke, and Paisley, and a step grandson Michael.
