Louise (Best) White

TROY- Louise (Best) White, of Troy, PA passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at the Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro, PA. She was the wife of the late Herbert "Whitie" White who passed away in 1976. Louise was born on May 25, 1912 in Bellefonte, PA. She was the daughter of the late Howard E. and Maude S. (Koontz) Best. Louise is a member of the First Methodist Church of Troy, PA and a former member of the Bellefonte United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and volunteered her time for many people in the community. Louise was a homemaker, but more than that she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The community of Troy will sadly miss her. Louise loved her family. They include her son John F. (Debby) White of Seymour, TN, her grandchildren: Michelle L. White of Knoxville, TN, Timothy D. (Tiffany) White of Houston, TX, and Christopher J. White of Knoxville, TN, great grandson Caden Davison White, and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, parents, and her brother Donald C. Best preceded Louise in death. A graveside service will be held at the Union Cemetery in Bellefonte, PA on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 2:30 PM. Her pastor, Rev. Richard Noggle will be officiating. The family has entrusted the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA with the arrangements.
