GETTYSBURG- Laura Ann (Lutte) Bodisch, 81, passed into God’s eternal rest on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at her residence. She was the wife of Joseph Bodisch, Sr. The couple wed on June 25, 1960.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 310 Hertzler Rd., Mechanicsburg. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is assisting with arrangements.
Born on June 28, 1941 in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Charlotte M. (Werley) Lutte. She was a 1959 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Laura was a bank teller at Wells Fargo for 36 years until her retirement in 2003, surviving all bank mergers that occurred in her career.
Mrs. Bodisch was an avid reader of period novels and James Patterson, was a volunteer reader for elementary schools in the York Co. area and was a Sunday School Teacher. She served as the Regional Director with United Federation of Doll Clubs, Inc. and was a member of the Colonial York Doll Club, Fashion Doll Club and White Rose Doll Collectors of York.
Along with her husband, Joseph, Laura is survived by two sons, Joseph J. Bodisch, Jr. and his wife Christine (Knisley) and Michael J. Bodisch and his wife Mary Rose (Good); two daughters, Brenda Ann Baumgardner and her husband Mark and Lee Ann Derr and her husband, Brian; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Edward R. Lutte and his wife, Kathy and Michael E. Lutte and his wife, Joann; sister, Victoria M. Lutte; and several nieces and nephews.
