Larry was a skilled draftsman and worked his way from carrying lumber to become the Director of Engineering at the time of his retirement. He was knowledgeable in all things involving motor yachts and often called upon as an expert witness. Larry was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church for 50 years and over the years has served as a youth Sunday school teacher, head usher and was chairman of many committees. He was a member of Red Lion Lodge 649 Free & Accepted Masons and served as Worshipful Master in 1996. Larry was the beloved husband of Dawn (Helder) Warner, the love of his life for 65 years. They were high school sweethearts having met in ninth grade. In addition to his wife Dawn, he is survived by two daughters, Lori A. Warner Barth and Melissa and husband Dr. Kevin Fabbri all of York. Larry’s greatest pride was his two grandchildren, Matthew Barth of Hyde Park, NY and Kathryn Fabbri of York. Larry also has a brother, Gene and wife Miriam Warner of Red Lion. Preceded him in death were three brothers, Glen, Wayne and Ernest Warner, Jr. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Connie and husband Gene Dixon. Larry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was much loved by his family and many friends. Anyone who knew him will never forget his smile, sense of humor, his gentle soul and generous spirit. They will always remember when interviewed by his granddaughter for a school project in 2013 Larry stated “I love to spend time with family and friends. I am a pretty lucky guy. Things don’t always go the way you want them to go. I have no regrets. Help people out, and if you do that, then you’ve done the best you could.” In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s UM Church, 45 First Ave., PO Box 250, Red Lion, PA 17356.
