Jean E. (Moss) Keesey

WARMINSTER- Jean Elizabeth (Moss) Keesey, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Ann’s Choice Retirement Community in Warminster, PA, at the age of 84. She was the loving wife of the late Walter Thomas Keesey, who died in September, 2007. The couple had been married for over 56 years. Born in 1929 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald W. and Thelma E. (Ellis) Moss. Jean was a 1950 graduate from the University of Maryland where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Mrs. Keesey was very artistic and an accomplished painter, working mostly in oils but also quite proficient in watercolors as well. Other hobbies included crafts, knitting and playing bridge. Jean and her husband Tom played duplicate bridge for many years with friends and former sorority sisters. Mrs. Keesey is survived by two sons, Donald R. Keesey and his wife, Dolores of San Diego, CA and Wayne T. Keesey and his wife, Marilyn of Laurel, MD; one granddaughter, Dara Lundquist and her husband, Josh of La Mesa, CA; two nieces, Sally Greninger and her husband, Gary; Sandy Roberts, and her husband, Bruce; and one nephew, Steven Moss and his wife, Patty, all residing in the Warminster, PA area. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Douglas Moss and his wife Jean Marshall Moss. Services for Mrs. Keesey are private at the request of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion, PA, is in charge of arrangements. The family intends to have a memorial service for Jean sometime later this spring, 2013.
