James M. Miller

SPRING GROVE- James Michael Miller, 74, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Maria E. (Vos) Miller. The couple celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on June 24, 2023.

Mr. Miller was born in York on May 19, 1949, son of the late William and Nora (Altland) Miller. He most recently was a truck driver for York Rescue Mission. Prior to that he was a police officer in Jackson and Penn Townships and also had been a machinist and welder. He was a member of Harmony Grove Church in Dover and more recently a member of Cornerstone Bible Church in Dover. He served in the US Army.

Along with his wife Maria, he leaves four sons, Shawn, Michael, Dave, and Dan Miller; eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and two nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Miller.

Services will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements.
